Google Trends on the day of Ubuntu 9.04 : the continuous rise of strange animals
As pointed out pollycoke, and it is all well and good to point that out in the day of release of the new version of what, more than a O.S has now become almost a “fashion”, is interesting (but not so surprising) analyzing search volumes, using the instrument Google Trends, concerning the major Linux distributions.
Fedora, which also took place in the areas of Red Hat household, and Suse, probably the most near Windows, have not kept pace with that project, as well as mites Shuttlework,
boasts an impressive community, that allows you to plug various security holes and bugs in the blink of an eye. Use the supermucca (In. apt) e i repository debian-like, combined with the large amount of people who have contributed in a more or less official to compile programs, meant that there was no longer a common problem for anyone who wants to try Linux 4-5 years ago: there are no (and it is true, the availability of binary packages now are infinitely higher) software ready to be used!.
The trends can be found at this address.
The least thing that I jumped to the eye, is that I never thought our country was second in terms of search volume!
Kill that people of the Nerds! 🙂
I would have expected Scandinavia and Poland to the top, evidently the fact that the Italian web is now talking about nothing else than Ubuntu (the rest of this post is proof), shows that we have the phenomenon has taken root (and maybe take root in P.A, true, Ministro Brunetta? Do you know how many pretty pennies to be used in works more virtuous than buying licenses?)
Ah, About, shame you can not make a nice flame on KDE vs Gnome, at least on search volumes. 🙂
