Improve the targeting (and earnings) con Google Ad Planner (beta)

This morning I find this message in my inbox (or better, here's an excerpt):

Caro publisher AdSense,

You are invited to test a new feature for publishers who can help-increase your earning potential, making it easier for advertisers to find your sites.

We have just created the Google Ad Planner Publisher Center, that can be used for:

– Request the profile of your site on Google Ad Planner.

– Perform updates on the information public on your site, that will be displayed by advertisers.

– Ensure that Google Ad Planner always show the most interesting data on traffic and descriptions about your site.

Ok, yet another Google service, of which, inter alia, there was talk in the early work in progress in the Google Lab…

Assuming they already had Google tools for webmasters, Google Analytics e AdSense, what benefits brings Ad Planner, currently in beta?

In essence, the goal is to create a large archive of the best sites registered to use AdSense advertisers.
The owner of a site authenticates Ad Planner, by Webmaster Tools authorizes the inclusion of your site, and can move to fill in all fields made available to provide as much information on its website.

You can select up to 5 categories in which to place your site (the most relevant), enter a description (also in Italian, at the bottom of the 90% I guess he will be looking for Italian advertisers 🙂 ).

You are also able to add a link where appropriate, the webmaster has written a page of detailed information about the size of banner ads, the topics covered and what are the ideals ads.

Also, if you have Google Analytics, you can connect it to your account Ad Planner (in my case is not shown anything yet, from what I read, it may take several weeks before showing the data).

Do not like ads that appear on your site in flash? Do not check Flash Media in Creative Format and advertisers will know.

In soldoni, what is the gain? There is much talk of optimization, targeting advertising, and the like, but those who have never seen a banner appear totally unrelated to the text in your site, at least once? Most likely whoever is reading an article on SEO, will have no interest to click a banner with the recipes of the test of the cook, or shampoo Garnier!

By filling in all fields of Ad Planner, advertisers will have a truly comprehensive framework, and may be regulated, not saving money by displaying ads on your site USELESS.
They save their, the more you earn, because in this way you will be sure that the ads will be more relevant to the text, and there will be more likely that a user will click, because really interested.

Ad Planner is also useful to know, roughly, accesses a site, RESEARCH tab because you can enter the address of a website, This is, will be shown all the profile, Full access (guidance) and impressions of Ads.
