Just opened Bing, Microsoft's new search engine
bing, this is the name of the new search engine that takes over from the never-too-loved Microsoft Live Search, and, hence, accessible at bing.com.
As can be seen by logging, has indicated that the search engine is in beta, phase which will end within a few days (IL 3/6 ed), and is already used in Italian.
It doesn't seem too different from Google, it is possible to choose whether to display the results only from a particular geographical area, choose to search only between images, filtering for size.
Analogamente a Google Maps, you can do a search for driving directions. Clicking SHOPPING, after entering the search word, will service, in collaboration with well-known portal HELLO, that will show the possibilities inherent in the search terms used. for example, looking for a city, you can view a list of hotels with their description and room rates, the, choosing a different category in the left column, see shops selling household appliances, etc.. etc..
Clicking, in the top bar, on NEWS, you will see a list of recent news concerning our key research.
It appears evident that the service, these days, is still in beta, because the algorithms do not seem too “smart”. Trying popular topics, in fact, I notice a lower efficiency than the SERP “Googliane”, and mistakenly typing a word, like NAPPOLI instead of NAPLES, is not suggested the proper correction to our search key.
In short, when you have the feeling that it is simply a younger brother of Google, joint with a couple of years late, since it does not appear specific innovations that can make a miracle. At this address you can compare, At the same time, the results of Google and Bing, and it seems that the gap is still evident. Will see some good in the autumn / winter, or continue unchallenged power of Google?
Big G., however, is not watching, and shows a preview of Google Wave, application-style Web 2.0 which allow to establish a real flow (wave) between two users, revolutionizing the communication system linked to the single email, but integrating chat, maps, feed and everything else is a communication tool in the Web 2.0.
