wordpress 2.8 and the bug gzinflate (lastfm plugin and other)
I had a great desire to update, in fondo WordPress 2.7 worked well…
In any case, the desire to create trouble is always around the corner, and a week ago I proceeded automatically upgrade to 2.8…
Everything seemed in order, until I noticed a nasty bug in sidebar sinista, close to the plugin that displays the latest songs I've heard, by Last.fm
The error reads more or less:
Warning: gzinflate() [function.gzinflate]: data error in /home/user/public_html/wp-includes/http.php on line 1787
I immediately looked for some solution, initially seemed to be a problem no upgrade was successful. It is advised to perform a manual upgrade, repair permissions and CHMOD.
None of this, obviously, it worked.
Luckily I stumbled across post on the forum help of WordPress, a user who had the same problem.
Apparently, The bug appears using a plug-in as a last-fm but not only for WordPress, and not the fault of the plugin itself, but a small bug in WordPress 2.8.
To resolve, Simply download This php file, and going to overwrite the old version in the folder wp-includes. At this point the bug will finally be solved 🙂
