Flow of visitors to museums in Naples, Caserta province and: Analysis and statistics
Hoping affect, here's some interesting data, using as a basis the most recent statistics of Cultural Heritage (update: I published these and other current statistics on tourism in Naples and province to this address), on Visitors of the major archaeological sites and museums of Naples and Caserta, In the period 2006-2012:
The cut in funding, l’incuria, and the blow of the waste crisis 2008 are evident, species in the case of excavations of Pompeii (-10%, deterioration, restructuring that is not part), of Palace of Caserta (-20%, stalls paccottari, fat men who bathe in the fountain, pigeons in the rooms and the like), S.Martino (-20%), National Archaeological (-30%! Where is the old Egyptian collection? Why so many items that are missing in the windows? Why so much stuff lying for years in storage?), Capodimonte (-40%! No maps, descriptions and missing items, ignorant keepers who cry aloud bills and ball games, I noticed last year).
I wonder if some leaders have responded in the first person of dips and Capodimonte National, and if any head is blown. With Pompeii second most visited site in Italy, it is a crime not to pass even half a million visitors per MANN. However, unlike the Museo di Capodimonte, the National Archaeological seems to at least have stopped the fall.
Take Herculaneum (in the hands of the American foundation) and Royal Palace (where the keepers are very willing to talk and give historical information), that with the renovation of the facade can and should do more of 120000 annual visitors. well Castel S.Elmo (+35%).
In the period 2006-2012, the major sites have lost a total of the 12% Visitor.
Campania is the region with most visitors Museums, Monuments and Archaeological Areas State after the first of Tuscany and Lazio (5.5million), and alone contributes, with 6 million, Total 7.5mln to the entire South (in terms of comparison, speaking only of museums, ILS Louvre, which is the best of the best in the world, alone receives 10m visitors a year, as all Italian museums).
