4 days in Monaco of Bavaria, Füssen and surroundings: WHAT TO SEE?
The austere and elegant Bavarian metropolis Has, according to different rankings (with Vienna, Vancouver, Melbourne, Sydney), the better quality of life to the world. In fact, it is one thing to realize immediately all tourists… both green, public transport flawless, many cultural events, urban landscaped, not to mention a thriving economy: all factors that explain why, some of these tourists (Italian species), a po’ necessity, a po’ to taste, then decides to go live in those parts. 🙂
The Bavarians are very proud of their history, their traditions, almost as if they were still living in the Kingdom of Bavaria, and did not hesitate to point it out to “strangers”: often I saw old men dressed in traditional bavarian clothing, not to mention the abundance of taverns, (German, cellars) when listening to music and eat Bavarian sauerkraut (argh, not for me!), boiled potatoes, and pork shank.
Also, just like Italians, unlike the North German, are fervent Catholics, so you can satisfy your thirst for art by visiting, for example, IL Cathedral, tower from which you can admire the view of Monaco, or that, I think, is the most beautiful town church: the The samkirche, rococo, I remember very few churches that can be found in the historic center of Naples.
Who, come me, is passionate about science, will be able to satisfy their curiosity in Deutsches Museum, the largest museum in the world dedicated to science and technology but… attention, may lose inside a whole day! I tried to select things that most interest me in advance, then as you read further down, but they still had to go out after 6 hours, For lack of time, of which the most spent between the mine and the section dedicated to aerospace. It is a veritable Toyland!
what about, Also, of BMW Museum that, col BMW Welt, is located near the old Olympic Stadium (what fan does not know the old stadium of Bayern)? You can revisit the whole history of the glorious brand, and sit behind the wheel of some of the latest models (as long as you manage to make space between the forest of Russians from portfolios bloated, and who are there to buy one of those jewels).
Equally spectacular is Fussen, reached in a couple of hours by train (to save, buy in advance Bayernticket), beautiful alpine village in whose surroundings are the castles of Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein. Both of them are intertwined to King Ludwig II, moody Bavarian monarch 800, who built the Neuschwanstein modeling it on those medieval, thus draining the coffers of the realm.
Personally, given the price, I recommend skipping the visit the other castle, namely to Hohenschwangau: lasts a few minutes, and it shows very little. I was there with some American friends, and the majority decided to visit it, but it was really money wasted.
Who wants to think a bit’ more seriously, which strongly suggest, can visit the concentration camp of Dachau, the northern outskirts of Monaco. While not Auschwitz, deserves some time to visit: is always the first Nazi concentration camp, initiated by Heinrich Himmler.
In short, in 4 FULL days, you can visit pretty much all there is to interesting to Monaco and surroundings, all in a rapid, thanks to highly efficient public transport network.
I loaded the best photo of these four days between Monaco and surroundings, in my gallery, A this address.

GOOGLE MAP RELATED TO MY ITINERARY IN MONACO AND AROUND. ON THE MAP, EVERY DAY HAS A DIFFERENT COLOR: link
My sister told me that, around, it was possible to visit the town of Frisinga and, In fact, after seeing the photos, I was really impressed… Too bad he did not have time! Those of you who visited Freising, or has other villages around Monaco to recommend?
